Our Story

Three Generations, One Mission

ABCD Daycare has been a cornerstone of the Hayden community since 1969, when Berta and Fred Bjurstrom opened their doors. The name itself tells the story — A, B, C, D for their four children: Andy, Barbara, Clayton, and Dan.

In 1994, son Andy and his wife Chris carried the torch forward, dedicating nearly three decades to growing a place where every child is known, loved, and given the foundation to thrive. They retired in 2022, and their daughter Ashley Lenz — who first started at ABCD at age 17 — now carries the legacy forward as Director.
